Alfred Asante-Korang, MD
Cardiology - Pediatric
Dr. Asante-Korang is a pediatric cardiologist with the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute, and has been working with congenital heart disease and heart transplant patients for more than 20 years. Dr. Asante-Korang graduated from the University of Ghana Medical School, where he completed an internship in pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom. Dr. Asante-Korang completed pediatric residencies at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom and the University of Chicago, as well as fellowships in pediatric cardiology at the IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax, Canada and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Data and Systems Analysis from University of Oxford, England.
Marguerite Crawford, MD
Cardiology - Pediatric
Dr. Crawford is a general pediatric cardiologist and director of cardiac MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) imaging at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, she completed a pediatric residency, served as chief pediatric resident and then did her pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Crawford obtained additional training in cardiac MRI imaging during her fellowship at Virginia and also was a fellow in cardiac MRI at Children’s Hospital Boston.
Jamie Decker, MD
Cardiology - Pediatric
Dr. Decker is a pediatric cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies and heart failure. He offers innovative and minimally invasive techniques to benefit patients at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. Before joining Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Dr. Decker was an assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where he completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology, an advanced fellowship in heart failure/transplantation, and an advanced fellowship in pediatric electrophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine. A graduate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, New Jersey, Dr. Decker did his pediatric residency training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Asma Khan, MBBS
Cardiology - Pediatric
Dr. Khan is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in heart failure and transplantation. She sees patients as part of the Heart Transplant Program at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2021. Dr. Khan earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University, Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed a pediatric residency at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and a fellowship in pediatric heart failure and transplant at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
Jessica Laks, MD
Cardiology - Pediatric
Dr. Laks is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in heart failure and transplantation. She sees patients as part of the Heart Transplant Program at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2021. She was previously a pediatric cardiologist at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario.
