Jose Prieto, M.D.
PERINATOLOGY
Dr. Prieto is medical director of maternal-fetal medicine in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. He specializes in the care of the mother and fetus in high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Prieto is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he also received a Master's in Public Health. He completed his residency in obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Center/Houston at L.B.J. General Hospital, where he was named Outstanding Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Magee-Women's Hospital. He joined Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates in 1996. Dr. Prieto is the Clinical Practice Director for All Children's Perinatology Specialists.
Katherine Apostolakis-Kyrus, M.D.
PERINATOLOGY
Dr. Apostolakis-Kyrus specializes in maternal-fetal medicine in the Johns Hopkins All Children's Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She earned her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Florida. She completed a fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Mayra Cruz Ithier, M.D.
PERINATOLOGY
Dr. Cruz Ithier is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2018. Dr. Cruz Ithier earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg where she served as education chief during her senior year. While at Bayfront she received the Research Award, Excellence in Obstetrics Award and the Resident Teacher Award.
Karen Raimer, M.D.
PERINATOLOGY
Dr. Raimer is a key member of our maternal-fetal medicine team, providing care for many expectant mothers whose infants may require care in our NICU or CVICU as well as surgery after delivery. She joined All Children’s Perinatology Specialists in 1991 after completing her fellowship at University of Miami. Dr. Raimer is a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans. She completed a residency in obstetrics/gynecology at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, where she served as chief resident. Following a fellowship in perinatology at the University of Miami, in 1991 Dr. Raimer joined Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates in St. Petersburg, FL and is the Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center director for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Center for Women and Babies. Dr. Raimer serves as an examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Rachelle Schwartz, D.O.

Rachelle Schwartz, D.O., joined All Children's Perinatology Specialists in July 2012 after completing a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Bayfront Medical Center, where she served as chief academic resident. While at Bayfront she received the Laparoscopic Surgeon of the Year Award, Resident Academic Achievement Award and Academic Excellence Award.
Mara DiBartolomeo, D.O.
NEONATOLOGY
Dr. DiBartolomeo specializes in neonatology in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. Dr. DiBartolomeo earned her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She trained in pediatrics and completed a neonatology fellowship at University of Chicago, Comer Children’s Hospital. While at the University of Chicago, Dr. DiBartolomeo concurrently completed a clinical medical ethics fellowship through the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Additionally, she holds a Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University.
Noura Nickel, M.D.
NEONATOLOGY
Dr. Nickel specializes in neonatology in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the medical staff in 2021 and sees patients on our main campus in St. Petersburg. Dr. Nickel earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed a pediatric residency from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
Jackie O'Toole-Segler, BSN, RN
FETAL CARE COORDINATOR
Jackie O’Toole-Segler, BSN, RN, is the fetal care coordinator for the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Fetal Care Program. She works with the clinical and clerical teams to coordinate patient care and appointments, serves as a resource for patient families, and assists physicians on diagnostic procedures. She has more than 25 years of obstetrical experience in Florida, and is nationally certified as a registered nurse in inpatient obstetrics. She was previously a labor and delivery nurse at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Center for Women and Babies. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
Jen Bowlby, MSN, RN
R.N. CLINICAL MANAGER
Jen Bowlby is an R.N. clinical manager for the Maternal Fetal Neonatal Institute at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Jen began her career in nursing as a labor and delivery nurse at Bayfront Medical Center, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital staff in 2012. In her role, she oversees the Maternal Fetal Medicine & OBGYN clinics, Fetal Care Program and Newborn Hearing Screeners. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. She is certified in In-Patient High-Risk Obstetrics (RNC).
