The pediatric ophthalmologists at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital diagnose and treat a wide range of eye problems in infants, children and teens. Strabismus repair and childhood cataract surgery are among the most frequent surgical procedures. Glaucoma, retinal disorders, and low vision are other areas of interest. The program is affiliated with the ophthalmology department of the University of South Florida College of Medicine. 

The pediatric ophthalmologists provide follow-up care for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit patients with retinopathy of premature and work closely with subspecialists in pediatric rheumatology and pediatric endocrinology to manage the ophthalmologic complications of diseases like diabetes, thyroid disorders, Sjogren’s syndrome and other rheumatologic diseases.
