Location Overview

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, in Northwest Washington, D.C., has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department.

Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms. When a medical issue requires you to travel far from home to receive the care you need, you can rely on our team of specially trained care coordinators to make this process easy. We will address your medical needs, as well as your individual preferences and any cultural, linguistic and religious expectations, helping make Johns Hopkins feel as close to home as possible. Parking

The Visitors Parking Garage, located next to the Sibley Medical Building, is open for patients and visitors. The garage is accessible from Dalecarlia Parkway.

Parking rates are:

  • $6 - First hour (or fraction thereof)
  • $10 - Second hour (or fraction thereof)
  • $12 - Third hour (or fraction thereof)
  • $14 - Fourth hour (or fraction thereof)
  • $14 maximum

Special all-day return parking rates of $14 allow patients and visitors to enter and exit the garage multiple times during the day for one flat fee.

Prepay parking kiosks are available inside, available 24 hours a day, and accept credit card payments only.

We ask that you park in our convenient Visitors Parking Garage and not park in the neighborhood. Thank you for being respectful of our neighbors and the space in front of their homes.

Public Transportation

Sibley Hospital is served by the D6 and M4 Metrobus routes. The D6 route connects with Metrorail at Stadium Armory, Union Station, Metro Center, Farragut Square and Dupont Circle in downtown Washington. The M4 connects with the Tenleytown Metro. Sibley is also served by the Number 23 Ride-On Bus, which connects at the Friendship Heights Metro. Metro Shuttle Service

Free shuttle service is available Monday through Friday from the Tenleytown Metro station.
